Earlier tort reforms put an end to in Alabama

MONTGOMERY — Most tort reform battles in the Legislature when Guy Hunt became governor in 1987 were lost by the business community because of a pro-trial lawyer Supreme Court that started changing to a Republican and pro-business Supreme Court in the mid-1990s.
